ubuntu is for n00bs!
;-)
so omair has put ubuntu on the ghar ka computer as well. he’s quite pleased with it, and is planning to switch to ubuntu at work. i think there are just a couple of hitches he is trying to sort out. i must tell him about this new ubuntu. maybe he should fiddle with this one at home before installing any at work.
by the way, omair has started to convince me that my new laptop should be a linux machine. i am getting quite convinced…
well let me know if you need any tech support. it’s fun to play around with ubuntu. and if it’s a new laptop, might be easier to play with it before you start installing software and have data on there. it’s definitely a fun operating system to use. by the way toster, i had posted a game for you but you never even commented on that.
Hi Tost,
Tell Omair to call me if he has any problems. Have been having a grand time with Ubuntu on both my old G3 iBook as well as on x86 architecture.
Hugh, we collectively bow to your 3l337 linux skills. But I still think we should give OpenBSD one more try!!
In a previous life we used OpenBSD as the network gateway, so I’ve accumulated some experience since our bumbling with it at the turn of the millenium ;-)
To be fair, I have nothing against Ubuntu (cheers to seeing another release out the door) but I’m waiting for Fedora 9 in May.
haan will do ali.
yaar abbas i totally missed that one. went and saw it the other day. its Fascinating. some of the levels are crap easy but some of them are really annoying me abhi…
