You don’t have nukes, Saudi Arabia? Well, as long as you say so, we won’t inspect you. Damn hypocrites.

A great post on howstuffworks.com, deals with the technology involved in creating a batsuit for the film batman begins. Everything from the cowl, to the armor to the cape has been explained and the technology that comes with it.
Unlike the Batsuits from previous films, the new design allows the actor portraying Batman to turn his head. In the other films, Batman has to turn his entire torso to look to the left or right.
During production, actor Christian Bale had one consistent assessment of the Batsuit: “It’s hot, dark and sweaty and it gives me a headache.” Costumers had this put on their crew t-shirts. Bale explains how he used that discomfort to his advantage: “It induced headaches and would send me into a foul mood after a half an hour … I used the pain as fuel for the character’s anger … you become a beast in that suit.”
It’s not the first time Christian Bale has transformed himself for a film.
I haven’t seen the film yet, so in case you’re wondering if there are spoilers about the film, there aren’t.

the ban on bollywood films in pakistan still has not been lifted. this was yesterday by the prime minister of pakistan. you know shits going down when you have to have the prime minister of a country to hold a press conference and say that we’re not gonna play films that were made in our neighboring country. the ban has been enforced for 40 years now. in the 70’s pakistan had close to 1300 cinema halls. today they have 270. the only way to encourage people to go watch films is by allowing them to see something they want to. there were only 18 films made in pakistan last year.

geldof has confirmed that live 8 will be hitting toronto as well. now the only question that remains is who’s playing and where. also the show was originally slated to have been done in ottawa, but that was changed to toronto due to concerns over security and crowd control. should be quite a hit. wondering if they can make it as big as sarsstock.
